ATPA operates a zone-based fare system. The city is divided into three concentric zones. Your fare is determined by how many zones you travel through.

Important notes

  • Children under 6: Travel free on all services when accompanied by a fare-paying passenger.
  • Reduced fares: Children (6–14) and seniors (65+) receive 50% off single fares and reduced-rate passes.
  • Proof of age: Concession passengers must carry valid identification.
  • Ticket validity: Single ride tickets are valid for 2 hours from purchase and cover one journey only.
  • Validation: All tickets must be validated before boarding. Unvalidated tickets are subject to a €50 fine.
  • Payment: Tickets can be purchased at station vending machines, the ATPA app, or at our customer service desk at Piaza Central.
