ORRA ISLAND TRANSIT

A FEW HELPFUL DETAILS

Simple fares.
Clear rules.

How are zones calculated?

A journey entirely within Zone 1 costs Ó 2.40. If any stop on your route is in Zone 2, including journeys wholly within Zone 2, the all-islands fare is Ó 3.60. The calculator uses the fastest route by published running time; changes add five minutes to the journey estimate. It charges once for the journey, not once per line.

Can I change between modes?

Yes. A single ticket permits one continuous journey with transfers across metro, tram and ferry for 90 minutes from first validation. Tap in at every boarding and tap out at your destination. A new journey or a journey beyond 90 minutes needs a new ticket. Day and monthly passes allow unlimited journeys in their zones.

What about children and concessions?

Children under six travel free with an adult. Ages 6–15 and Orra residents aged 65 and over pay half the adult fare, rounded to the nearest 0.01 crown, on all ticket types. Carry proof of age. One companion travels free with an Orra Access Card holder. The calculator above is for full-fare adults only.

Where do I buy a ticket?

Every station and ferry pier has an accessible ticket machine accepting crowns and bank cards. Reusable Orra Cards are available from the staffed travel desk at Ena / Central, daily 06:00–22:00, for a refundable Ó 3.00 deposit. Add a single, day or monthly pass; the card deposit is separate from the fare. Cash single tickets need no card.

Can I bring a bike, a bag or a pet?

Luggage, folded bikes and small pets in carriers travel free. Unfolded bikes are welcome outside weekday peaks (07:00–10:00 and 16:00–19:00), where space permits. Assistance animals are welcome at all times. On ferries, the crew will show you the designated bike area.
