Trams

  • Every tram is low-floor, with two wheelchair spaces, a ramp at the second door and priority seats by every door.
  • Level boarding at every stop except Kastra (The Fort), where the historic square keeps platforms at street level, and the northbound platform at Lakkfenna (Fish Market), which is being rebuilt in spring 2027.
  • Next-stop announcements are spoken in Kalvoran and English and shown on screens in every section.

Ferries

  • Floating pontoons at Ossavora (Old Harbour), Turikaja (North Quay), Maalkaja (South Quay) and Luvartarra (Lighthouse Island) keep the gangway level at every state of the tide.
  • Helkirn (Abbey Island) has a fixed stone pier. For about two hours either side of low water the gangway is steep; the crew will assist, and a level boarding can be guaranteed if you call the accessibility line the day before.
  • Wheelchair spaces and an accessible toilet are on the main deck of every ferry. Assistance animals are welcome on board.

Funicular

  • Both terminal stations are step-free. At Ossahald (Old Hill) a lift connects the platform with Ossahald Square; at Ossavora (Old Harbour) the platform is at street level.
  • Kirnplas (Church Square) has 12 steps and no lift. For step-free access to the church, ride to Ossahald (Old Hill) and follow the level path down (300 m).
  • Each car carries two wheelchairs. Staff are on the platform at both ends whenever the line is running.
