South Bridge deck resurfacing: T1 runs Vetenhal (University) – Salhava (Salt Gardens) only

Monday 14 September to Sunday 4 October 2026

T1F2

Kalvora City Council is resurfacing the tram deck of the South Bridge (Maallenka). While the work is under way, T1 trams cannot cross to Maaltarra.

  • T1 trams run between Vetenhal (University) and Salhava (Salt Gardens) at the normal frequency and turn back at Salhava.
  • Maallenka (South Bridge) is closed to trams. The footway and cycle path on the bridge stay open.
  • Replacement bus T1X runs Salhava – Maalkaja (South Quay) – Nivevora (New Harbour) – Vinnvora (Airport) every 10 minutes at peak and every 15 minutes at other times, using the road bridge. Allow an extra 15 minutes for the airport.
  • Ferry F2 (Maalfael · South Crossing) runs every 20 minutes all day on weekdays between Ossavora (Old Harbour) and Maalkaja (South Quay), giving a faster route from the harbour to South Quay than the bus.
  • All tickets, passes and Veyla Tap fares are valid on the T1X bus. Zone boundaries are unchanged.

Advice: For Vinnvora (Airport), take T1 to Salhava (Salt Gardens) and change to the T1X bus, or take F2 from Ossavora (Old Harbour) to Maalkaja (South Quay) and the T1X from there. Wheelchair users: every T1X bus has a ramp; F2 is step-free at Ossavora and Maalkaja.

Advice: If you need step-free access to the old town during the closure, use the shuttle minibus. Your normal ticket is valid.

From Sunday 1 November 2026

F1F2

Advice: Check the timetables page from 15 October before planning an evening crossing in November.
