How it works

  1. Check when and where

Anything left on a tram, ferry or funicular car is taken off at the end of the line and logged the same day. Items reach the Lost Property Office at the Travel Centre, Ossavora (Old Harbour), by 10:00 the following morning.

  2. Tell us

Use the enquiry form on the contact page, choosing “Lost property”, and describe the item, the line, the approximate time and where you were sitting if you remember. You can also call the lost property line during opening hours.

  3. We search and reply

We match every enquiry against the log for seven days and reply by email or phone within two working days. If your item turns up later we will still contact you.

  4. Collect or have it sent

Collect from the Travel Centre with your reference number and photo ID, Monday to Saturday 09:00–18:00. We can post items within Kalvora for Sk 6.00 and abroad at cost. We hold items for 90 days; unclaimed items are donated to the Kalvora Seafarers’ Mission.

Report a lost item

Good to know

  • Bank cards, passports and phones are kept in the safe and released only to the named owner.
  • Perishable food and drink are disposed of the same day.
  • Umbrellas are the most common item we find. In 2025 we returned 1,912 of them.
