The city
Auralei
Auralei grew from three reef villages into a compact island capital after the Beacon Treaty of 1896 made its sheltered lagoon the neutral port of the Lumea Archipelago.
The climate is warm marine, with salt-clear mornings, short silver rains, and steady trade winds from the east, so shelters are built for sudden rain and ferry piers are designed for quick boarding in crosswinds.
