Times are scheduled departures. In a north gale of force 8 or above, sailings are suspended and ferry tickets are accepted on the M1, M2 and T3.
Service information
Good service on all five lines. Last reviewed 25 July 2026, 06:40.
Planned work
M1 closed between Vellskarra Hald and Aldubrenn, 8–9 August
Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 August 2026, all day
The Aldustrav tube is closed all weekend for renewal of the 1962 drainage channel, which has been pumped by hand since March. Replacement bus R1 runs every 6 minutes over the Aldubrenn bridge, calling at Vellskarra Hald, Aldubrenn and Varnstessa. The T3 and the F4 will accept M1 tickets for the whole weekend. Trains run normally between Keldarda and Vellskarra Hald, and between Aldubrenn and the airport.
In effect now
Lyshald quay lift out of service until 3 August
Until Monday 3 August 2026
The lift between the M2 concourse and the F5 pontoon at Lyshald has failed a load test and is out of use while its ram is replaced. There is no step-free route between the metro and the boat at Lyshald in the meantime. Step-free passengers for the F5 should travel to Mirahald, which has level boarding at both berths. Staff at Lyshald will arrange a taxi at our expense for anyone who cannot make that change; ask at the gateline.
Good to know
Extra Sorreska sailings at weekends until 30 August
Until Sunday 30 August 2026
While the salt pans are open to visitors, the F5 runs every 30 minutes on Saturdays and every 35 minutes on Sundays, and the last boat back is held for the closing of the pans. The last F5 sailing from Sorreska towards Lyshald leaves at 22:10 on Saturdays and 21:10 on Sundays. The tidal park closes at 21:30; the warden will not wait.
Planned work
Ardagest: one escalator out of use
20 July to 11 September 2026
The down escalator at the Nydvella end of Ardagest is being replaced. Both stairs and the lift remain open, and the station stays step-free throughout. Expect the platform to feel narrow in the evening peak.

What happens to the boats in a north gale
A standing arrangement
When the keldvinna blows force 8 or above, the harbourmaster suspends all sailings. This happens on about twenty-two days a year, most of them between November and February. When it does, F4 and F5 tickets and passes are accepted without further payment on the M1, the M2 and the T3, and the Radaveld posts the decision on every departure board within four minutes of taking it. Varneska and Sorreska have no other connection; residents are telephoned directly.

One fare structure, no surprises
Every journey is priced from the number of fare zones you pass through, not the number of vehicles you board. Change from a boat to a tram to a train on one ticket: as long as you keep moving, it is one fare.
- 2.10 kr within one zone; 3.15 kr across two.
- 9.90 kr for the Dagkrent — every line, all day, day pass.
- 99.00 kr for the Manadkrent 1–3, which pays for itself in 16 return trips across two zones.
- Children under 12 travel free, up to three with each fare-paying adult.
