A day pass for all zones pays for itself on the third journey of the day compared with three-zone singles.
Loaded onto a Vaerkart and valid for 30 days or 365 days from the date you choose. Annual passes cost ten months.

How fares are counted
The network is divided into three concentric zones. Zone A is the city centre on Varenn. Zone B is the rest of Varenn and the near shores of Lom and Hesk. Zone C is the airport, the far end of Hesk and the outer isles.
You pay for every zone your journey passes through, counted along the route, not just for the zones at each end. A journey from the airport to Hot Hollow starts and ends in zone C, but the M1 carries you through the centre on the way, so it is a 3-zone fare. The ferry from Skarra to Ysk stays in zone C: a 1-zone fare. Old Temple to the Fish Market never leaves zone A: 1 zone.

Buying and using tickets
Every station and pier has at least one machine. They take cards, phones and coins, print paper tickets and top up Vaerkarts. Type a destination or scan a fare quote from this site and the machine works out the zones.
Metro stations have ticket gates: hold the code on your ticket under the reader, or tap your Vaerkart. On trams and ferries, validators are by the doors and at the gangway.
Staffed offices sell everything, including season passes, group tickets and Access Card renewals:
Open 06:30–20:00 Monday to Saturday, 08:00–18:00 Sundays and holidays. The airport office opens for every arriving flight.
Ferry crews sell singles and day passes by card at the gangway, at the same price as the machines. Trams and the metro have no on-board sales: buy before you board.
Inspectors work on every line, every day. Show your ticket or Vaerkart when asked; the penalty fare is 80.00 kel.
The Vaerkart is the authority’s stored-value travel card. Tap in on the metro gates and tap on at the tram and ferry validators; there is no need to tap out. Each journey costs 10% less than a paper single, and however much you travel in a day you never pay more than the price of a day pass for the zones you used.
Cards cost 5.00 kel from any machine or office, or are free with a season pass. Lost cards can be blocked and replaced with their balance at a ticket office if you registered them. Register at any ticket office or by calling 1934.
