Every line runs to one of three timetables: Monday to Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and public holidays. The current timetables are valid from 1 September 2026. Choose a line for station-by-station times.

How to read them

Frequencies, not minutes

Metro and tram timetables are published as frequencies: during each period of the day a train or tram leaves every so many minutes, and the first and last departures from every station are listed exactly. Between those, simply turn up; the departure boards on every platform show the next three services.

Ferries are timetabled sailing by sailing, because the boats are less frequent and the crossings are long. Each ferry page lists every sailing from every pier. Ferries do not wait for connecting trains, so allow ten minutes for the walk from the metro at Central Station to the Ferry Hall berths.

The service day

A timetable day runs from 04:00 to 03:59. A departure shown as 00:41 on the Monday to Friday timetable therefore leaves in the small hours of Tuesday to Saturday, and the Sunday timetable’s last departures run into the early hours of Monday. The departure boards switch to the new day at 04:00.

Public holidays

The Sunday timetable applies on every public holiday, whatever the day of the week. The evening before is a normal day: there is no early finish.
